Waste Management Summit

Under the leadership of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization the General Directorate of Environmental Management to strengthen and develop waste management practices and to exchange information with relevant stakeholder groups (Universities, private sector, environmental NGOs, chambers and associations, institutes, municipalities) and Waste Management Summit was held between 24 - 28 February 2019 in Antalya to evaluate the innovations. 

TUBISAD Compliance Scheme (TYK) was involved in the “E-waste Management and Recycling Technologies” session as a speaker with a presentation. There was presentation in the name of “A Hidden Value at Home E-waste” present by TYK authorities. In presentation, there was explanation about TYK EEE and WEEE Inventory Studies to shed light on gathering Turkey’s WEEE data. Besides that WEEE and recycling on a global scale and the role of WEEE in the circular economy were discussed.
